The first two rounds of the NBA Playoffs are over, and the Western Conference Finals and the Eastern Conference Finals are underway. The 2022 NBA Finals will begin on Thursday, June 2nd. There will be a new NBA Champion this season, with the Milwaukee Bucks getting dethroned against the Boston Celtics in Game 7.

The reigning Western Conference Champions, the Phoenix Suns, were also dethroned in Game 7 against the Dallas Mavericks and were utterly embarrassed on their own home floor. There are predictions today being made by analysts about what the NBA Finals are potentially going to look like now and who will potentially win it all. What are the updated odds for the 2022 NBA Championship?

Golden State Warriors +130

The Golden State Warriors are now the favorites for the 2022 NBA Championship, with the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks being out of the NBA Playoffs.

This is the sixth time in the past eight seasons that Golden State has reached the Western Conference Finals. The Warriors won three championships in five seasons from 2015 to 2019, and they are looking to add one more this season in the Steph Curry-Klay Thompson-Draymond Green era.

Jordan Poole has emerged as a star for this basketball team, and other role players know their roles on this basketball team. Steve Kerr is a tremendous head coach. The Warriors have been hot and cold from the field this postseason.

Golden State defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in the last series in six games and the Denver Nuggets back in Round 1 in five games.

Miami Heat +250

The Miami Heat apparently refuses to lose at home in the NBA Playoffs and have the second-best odds to win the 2022 NBA Championship.

Miami doesn’t have any household names after Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, but the Heat culture matters in 305. Head coach Erik Spoelstra preaches team chemistry first, and they are also one of the better defensive teams in the NBA.

Miami reminds me more of like the 2004 Detroit Pistons, where they play team basketball and are well-coached without a Top 5 or Top 10 superstar in the NBA.

The Miami Heat have somehow been surprising people this season, and it also helps when Tyler Herro comes off the bench as the Sixth Man of the Year.

Miami defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in Round 2 in six games and defeated the Atlanta Hawks in five games in Round 1.

Boston Celtics +300

The Boston Celtics have two dynamic superstars in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, and have the third-best odds to win the 2022 NBA Championship.

Boston plays tremendous defense under head coach Ime Udoka. The Celtics have a very good bench and other solid role players on this roster. Boston’s Grant Williams and Payton Prichard are good role players.

Not having Marcus Smart and Al Horford around due to injury might come back to bite them. Robert Williams has not been healthy throughout the playoffs, and Derrick White is inconsistent for this basketball team.

Boston defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in seven games in Round 2 after trailing 3-2 in the series. The Celtics defeated the Brooklyn Nets in a clean sweep in four games back in Round 1.

Dallas Mavericks +600

The Dallas Mavericks have the fourth-best odds of winning the 2022 NBA Championship. Luka Doncic might be the best player remaining in these NBA Playoffs. Under head coach Jason Kidd, Dallas plays tremendous team defense.

Doncic has a killer instinct, and they are getting 2011 championship vibes with Dirk Nowitzki. Luka Doncic hopes he can win his first NBA title at just 23 years old.

Players like Jalen Brunson, Maxi Kleber, and Spencer Dinwiddie will need to play well and support him on a night-to-night basis. The most underrated defensive player on this basketball team is Dorian Finney-Smith.

Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Phoenix Suns in seven games in Round 2, after trailing 3-2, and also defeated the Utah Jazz in Round 1 in six games.
